In partnership with the Community Activities and Beautification Committee, the City of La Palma will present the Concerts in the Park summer series beginning in July.
The Southern California concerts offered in La Palma are family-friendly and admission is free. Held every Saturday in the Central Park Amphitheater on Walker Street, attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy before the concerts begin.
The Concerts in the Park series will kick off with ‘Hot August Nights’ on July 12, which is a tribute to Neil Diamond. The next weekend, a tribute to the Police and Sting will be performed by Ghost in the Machine, and a chili cook-off will be part of this offering.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers songs will be presented by The Petty Breakers on July 26. The Smokin’ Cobras will follow on August 2, featuring ‘50s, ‘60s, surf, retro ‘80s, and rockabilly music.
Legends of Classic Rock will be honored with The Skinny Little Twits group performing all-time rock favorites on August 9. The weekend welcomes the Civic Expo/National Night Out as well.
The last concert in the park will be held August 16 and will feature Flashback Heart Attack. This group presents ‘The Ultimate New Wave 80s Show’.
