The La Palma Recreation and Community Services Department is busy preparing for the annual Halloween Spookfest. The yearly event is a favorite amongst residents and visitors as they join the ghoulish fun.
The concept behind the event is to provide a family-oriented and safe venue for residents to enjoy the trick and treating traditions of Halloween. A costume contest welcomes the participation of boys and girls in relevant age divisions. Prizes will be awarded for each winner from those divisions.
Carnival games will be a highlight for all ages, while kids aged five and under can enjoy the Goblin Gulch haunted area.
Carnival booths are available to rent. Organizations, community groups, and civic entities are encouraged to operate booths in support of the city. Print companies work with local organizations in providing many resources for events. Banner printing is a common project as vendors typically place Banners in their booths. Made of heavy vinyl, they will usually depict the company name and product or service.
