The Fitness Run for Fun will take place this Independence Day in La Palma. The family-friendly town will gather together to share the sense of community and hometown feel.
Whether participants prefer to run, walk, or take a leisurely stroll, the event welcomes all. There will be a choice of 5K race covering one loop, and a 10K race including two loops. Sanctioned by the USATF, it includes flat and fast courses on asphalt streets. Water stations will available throughout the courses.
There will be a Family Fun Zone for families and friends. With inflatable obstacle courses, potato sack races, and tug-o-war contests, people of all ages are sure to remain entertained.
The La Palma Police Department will control the traffic for the races. Check in will begin at 6:00 am with the competitive runs and walk beginning at 7:30 am. The Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast will also start at 7:30 am.
Slightly later, the Yankee Doodle Dash is a race specifically designed for children from 2-12 years of age. It is a noncompetitive event with starting points based on age and ability. Each runner will be given a race bib and medal for participation. Parents may run with the kids, if they wish, once it gets underway at 8:30 am.
Posters provide a great vehicle for announcing upcoming events such as the Fourth of July celebration. Poster printing can include pertinent information in vibrant and eye-catching manner.
