A dance studio in La Palma is gearing up to begin their next season, and they’re going virtual as well as live so everyone can enjoy the performances.
Project 21 Season 7 LIVE! will be broadcast from La Palma’s Kennedy High School, and will allow viewers from out of state to watch the show in comfort from their own homes. Everyone is encouraged to celebrate the beginning of the next season of dance by watching the upcoming group dances and solos.
Molly Long is the founder of Project 21, a popular jazz dance studio, which she started in 2015. Long spent her childhood in a studio so she understands how important it is for young dancers to have a safe space in which they can explore their love of dance. She takes particular pride in helping dancers live up to the high standards she encourages them to set for themselves.
Long is also Project 21’s jazz choreographer and competition director, and makes certain groups and soloists get adequate rehearsals so they are prepared to present outstanding performances. She conducts classes weekly and even on the weekends to help dancers improve their technique.
The season begins February 6, and people can attend in person if they wish, while the event is being streamed. Organizers of this type of event can consider using graphic design to create interesting backgrounds for the performance.
