Area gallery offers up new exhibitions for fall

The Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with several new exhibitions.

The opening reception for the ‘50th Anniversary Show, Part 1’ is taking place on September 3 at 6:30 pm, and admission is free. The show will be running at the Center from September 3 until October 25.

The next event coming up will be the 50th anniversary gala on September 18, beginning at 6:30 pm. The theme for this event will be the ‘Summer of Love, Age of Aquarius’"] and guests will enjoy the music of the 1960s performed by Broadway stars, as well as dinner under the stars. Tickets are $100 each and proceeds benefit the Center's educational programs.

Later on in the month, as the anniversary celebrations continue, the Center is hosting the Ukelele Festival on September 20 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Guests will enjoy a variety of performances of music played on the instrument. Presented by the Fullerton Rotary and National Charity League, tickets are $12.50 for members, $16 for students and seniors, and $25 for nonmembers.

Local printing companies may be asked to provide Flyers to advertise these events in nearby communities such as La Palma.
