A famous sad clown is bringing his “Pity Party” and unique brand of music to the Berkeley area.
The 7-foot-tall singer has seen viral success on YouTube as well as appearances on TV’s America’s Got Talent. He’s known for covering popular songs with his baritone voice.
Commenters say the comedy comes from the absurdity of his stage presence, fully committing to the clown bit and being akin to a mime by not speaking, apart from when he’s singing.
Puddles has covered musical artists ranging from David Bowie to Billie Eilish, Lorde, Black Sabbath, Simon and Garfunkel, and more.
Whether it is a clown show or a musical performance, artists often need banner printing for shows and flyer printing to advertise for them.
Some critics have described Puddles’ work as an acquired taste that isn’t for everyone. However, many acts in the entertainment industry have acknowledged and complimented Puddles’ work, such as the likes of Weird Al Yankovic, Jack Black, and Michael McKean.
The Puddles Pity Party performances often involve multi-media elements, including movie clips being played on stage coinciding with the songs and providing costumes for audience members to wear as a form of participation in the act.
The Puddles Pity Party will be taking place at 8 pm at the Cornerstone in Berkeley on Sunday, January 5.
