The musical act Empire of the Sun is coming to The Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley this spring.
The band hails from Australia and is made up of Luke Steel and Nick Littlemore, two artists who were part of previous bands, The Sleepy Jackson and PNAU, respectively. Their electronic rock tunes have since filled stadiums together as Empire of the Sun, which combines visual art elements with narrative concepts on stage, in their music videos and in their albums.
Their current worldwide tour spans the U.S., Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, Hungary Slovenia, Poland, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Turkey and other countries comes after Empire of the Sun’s first new album in eight years, Ask That God.
Walking On A Dream was the Empire of the Sun’s debut album over a decade ago that spawned the massively popular hit songs Walking On A Dream and We Are The People. Since then, they’ve released several more albums, working with notable artists along the way, and garnering over 5.5 million album sales across the globe.
In addition to the multiplatinum sales and 7.6 billion streams, Empire of the Sun has also won a number of accolades over the years, including eight ARIA Awards, among others.

Empire of the Sun is performing on May 3 at 8 p.m. at the Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley.
