Stranger Things star performs music in Berkeley
Joe Keery is coming to Berkeley’s Greek Theatre this October to perform in two different bands he is a part of, Djo and Post Animal.
The actor, who is best known for portraying Steve Harrington in the hit Netflix show Stranger Things, was involved in music before making it big as an actor.
Back in 2017, Keery parted ways with the Chicago-based band Post Animals to focus on acting. However, the six-member band recently got together again for its newest album, including Keery, reinvigorating their creativity and friendships. IRON, which came out in July 2025, is the result of that new collaboration, a follow-up to the band’s 2022 album Love Gibberish.
Keery is also involved in a new musical project called Djo, as a songwriter, with the new album The Crux. A follow up to Djo’s 2022 album DECIDE, the new record continues the collaboration between co-founders Keery and Adam Thein, and attendees at the upcoming concert can expect songs from both of Djo’s albums, as well as Post Animal.
Live musical performance events like this may choose to use poster printing services for advertising the concert around a local area such as a college campus.
Djo and Post Animal will be performing on October 18, starting at 8 pm, at The Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley, based at 2001 Gayley Rd.
