Berkeley’s Solano Avenue will soon be transformed into a giant shopping party, and the organizers are excited to once again bring the event to the community.
Starting in 1974, the twin cities of Berkeley and Albany have joined forces to host the Solano Avenue Stroll, which is billed as being the largest street festival in the East Bay. A family-friendly celebration of local small business, many members of the Solano Avenue Association will be participating, along with service groups, animal rescues, and other organizations.
People who drop by will find at least 400 vendors setting up shop, including the establishments along Solano Avenue. Many of the participants will be entertainers and not-for-profit groups such as the pigeon rescue Palomanccy, and food service providers will be in the mix as well. It will be a one-stop shopping activity that tends to draw a crowd of 100,000 or more throughout the day.
Setting up shop in a community festival provides an easy way for companies of all sizes to expand their customer base. Booth decor, informational materials, promotional Pens, and other swag can all be crafted by Print shops.
The 2026 installment of the Solano Stroll will showcase Solano Avenue and all it has to offer on Sunday, September 13. It will be open from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.
