The first annual Berkeley Storytelling Festival will take place this September.
The three-day event, which is the first of its kind in the area, is about sharing stories, building community, and fostering connections. Presented by the Diaspora Arts Connection, the event is expected to bring together writers, artists, storytellers, students, and residents from the community, all telling personal stories that cover topics like identity, belonging, memory, and daily life.
Sometimes, festival organizers for events like this one use Graphic Design Services to advertise their festivals.
The weekend event begins on Friday, with storytelling here featuring different perspectives, different eras, and different generations. Participants are likely to learn more about the history of Berkeley while listening to the speakers.
On Saturday, guests can participate in a storytelling workshop at 12:00 pm. The hands-on class is led by Shayan Ravandoust, founder of Third Culture Tales.
Saturday evening, at 8:00 pm, festivalgoers can listen to workshop participants and experienced performers alike tell their stories. The environment is supportive and welcoming, and each story is expected to take about five minutes to complete.
Finally, closing night occurs on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 6:00 pm. This event will focus on stories of migration, identities, and experiences that connect people across cultures.
The inaugural Berkeley Storytelling Festival will take place between September 18-20 at Impossible Stage, located at 2033 University Avenue in Berkeley. General admission for each event starts at $35. If preferred, guests can purchase passes to all four events for $120.Get a Free Quote for Graphic Design Services
