Jazz musician to give virtual Berkeley performance

The University of California in Berkeley will be holding an online concert this January that features the talents of Bria Skonberg.

Skonberg will be performing for the University of California as part of the Cal Performances at Home program. Skonberg is a charismatic trumpeter who will play music from her latest album, Nothing Never Happens, with the help of her quintet. Her group performs classic jazz pieces and creates original compositions. Skonberg has even reimagined hits from famous artists like Queen, Sonny, Bono, and the Beatles.

The Cal Performances at Home Program is a streaming series that helps bring entertainment to the homes of people during the pandemic. The series includes performances from musicians such as Matthew Whitaker, Wu Han, and Leif Ove Andsnes. Viewers can also see theatrical performances and presentations on topics related to music and art. Companies that create programs like this can market their events with poster printing services.

The jazz performance will be held on January 7, 2021 and will start at 7:00 pm. The cost to view the concert will be based on the number of people watching the performance. A single viewer can pay $15, while a party of four or more can purchase access for $60. The pricing will be on an honor system, and the show would have originally cost $36 to attend.
