Berkeley to offer children's language workshop

The Berkeley Public Library will hold an event throughout the summer where kids can learn Mandarin.

The Mandarin Workshop for Kids is a program that teaches children about the language through interactive activities and weekly classes. The eight-week workshop will cover topics such as animals, colors, and common phrases. Kids will learn Mandarin with the help of songs, picture Books, and games. Participants in the lessons will also learn about Taiwanese culture and art. The Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco will sponsor the activity.

She used to be a television news anchor in Taipei City. Lee graduated from Brooklyn College in 1996 with a TV and radio management degree.
