The Berkeley School of Information will be honoring the 25th anniversary of its Master of Information Management and Systems (MIMS) program in February.
The MIMS 25th Anniversary Celebration is an event where former students and professors can unite to honor one of UC Berkeley's full-time programs. The party will begin with a networking session where students can reminisce about their capstone projects and listen to instructor-led panels. Many professors will be attending the celebration, including Marti Hearst and Pam Samuelson. The school's former dean, Anno Saxenian, will also come to the event.
The MIMS program is a two-year series of courses that help students become successful information professionals. Those who participate in the program will learn about the fundamental principles of information economics, the design of information systems, and the principles of concurrency. Students enrolled in the MIMS program can partake in paid summer internships and complete a final project at the end of the classes.
The MIMS 25TH Anniversary Celebration will be on Saturday, February 25 from 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Those who are program alumni can pay $65 to join the event, and current MIMS students may register for $20. Discounts are available for those who register early. All guests must register by February 12. Colleges that organize gatherings like this may give Promotional Products to attendees as party favors.
