Berkeley business school to host climate tech summit

Cleantech to Market (C2M) will be holding a competition in Berkeley at the Haas School of Business in December.

C2M's Annual Climate Tech Summit is a program where teams of interdisciplinary graduate students collaborate with entrepreneurs to form innovative tech start-ups. Several of them will be competing at the summit, including Niron Magnetics, Frost Methane, and Intropic Materials. Those who win a MetLife Climate Solution Award may earn between $5,000 and $20,000. The event will also feature speakers such as Ann Harrison, Jill Fuss, and Matt Rogers.

The Haas School of Business was founded in 1898 and is one of the oldest business schools in the United States. The school's alum network consists of more than 40,000 graduates. The customizable class programs use hands-on experimental learning and focus on leadership development. A few events held by the business school include the Dean's Speaker Series and the twice-monthly New Thinking at Berkeley Haas series.

The climate tech summit will be on Friday, December 2 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The program will occur at the Spieker Forum in Chou Hall. There is no cost to reserve a spot for the event, and registration will include breakfast, lunch, and admission to the audience Q&A session. Business schools that hold events for students such as this may utilize poster printing to advertise their programs on campus.
