Time to celebrate Mesa

Celebrate Mesa Spring 2022 is being planned by the City of Mesa Parks, Recreations and Community Facilities for early April.

The event will be a free, family-friendly nod to Earth Day, which is April 22. The event’s organizers are expecting a big crowd this year as more than 9,000 Mesa area residents came in 2019.

Living Green Village will feature exhibitors and will have earth-friendly activities. Encanto Characters will be milling through the crowd meeting and greeting everyone. Caravel rides will be available and $5 wristbands can be purchased for unlimited rides. Bounce houses and kids’ games will be free.

Food trucks and food booths will be onsite. Some of these will include AZ Roasted Corn, Amigos AZ, Oh So Good Mini Donuts and the Weiner Waggin. Others will be Bonzai Boys, Seoul Good, Cerealphoria (a shake and cereal bar), and Elias the Foodie. Vendor sites are still available and food truck applications run at $175, while food vendor 10’ by 10’ booths are $150.

Entertainment on the Main Stage will be Mariachi Juvenil, Los Waukis, Ollin Yolitzli Dance Company, and Desert Sound Mariachi.

Promoting their Logo Design and brand, sponsors are already lining up. Some of these include Apache Lake, Somos Dental Orthodontics, Mesa Recycles, and Vantage West Credit Union. Sponsorship opportunities are still available by contacting parksevents@mesaaz.gov.

Celebrate Mesa Spring 2022 will take place in Pioneer Park, 526 E. Main Street, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on April 9.
