Singing and dancing scheduled at the MAC

The Mesa Arts Center will be offering a singing and a dancing event during May.

The Phoenix Boys Choir will conclude this year's MAC's Pop series with an exhilarating and energetic program called, "Skyward." The music for the evening will include contemporary, popular and familiar songs.

The Mesa-based trio, Simply Three composed of Zack Clark, Nick Villalobas and Glen McDaniel, will be guest singers and this will be the world premiere of "It's a Long Way" by Italian American composer Raphael Fusco. This piece was last year's winner of the MAC's 2023 New Works Rising Choral Composition Competition.

Phoenix Boys Choir - Skyward will be performed Friday, May 10th beginning at 7:00 pm at the Mesa Arts Center, 1 E Main Street.

Proud parents of children who perform in events such as this often take pictures of the performances to local Print shops to be added to family Calendars and newsletters.

The MAC's World Ballet Series will be presenting Swan Lake with a live orchestra playing the iconic Tchaikovsky music.

Attendees will be treated to memorable scenes such as the Dance of the Little Swans and can count Odile's 32 fouettés (turns). This timeless classic will be presented with more than 150 resplendent costumes and hand-painted richly detailed sets.

Tickets range from $50 to $125.

Swan Lake will be presented Saturday, May 11 at 7:00 pm and again Sunday, May 12th at 6:00 pm at the MAC's IKEDA Theater.
