Museum offers eclectic schedule of events

The Mesa Historical Museum will present a varied line-up of events, from a cemetery tour and concert series to an arts and crafts fair over the next three months.

In a few days the museum will hold its annual self-guided Mesa Cemetery Historic Walking tour. Speakers at the cemetery will tell their tales of a woman who delivered more than 12,000 babies, a Civil War veteran, a Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show poet, and a cowboy singer.

Complementary doughnuts and coffee will be available. The $15 individual and $25-for-two tickets include free admission to the museum.

The 2021 Cemetery Tour will be Saturday, October 23 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at the Historic Mesa Cemetery, 1212 N Center Street.

The museum’s Fall Concert Series will begin on November 7 with a performance by Goddess Squared. The Chris Kane Trio will perform on November 14 and they will be followed by Coda Blue on November 21. The concerts will take place from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm on the museum grounds, 2345 N Horne. Admission will be free and there will be food and drinks available for purchase.

The museum grounds will also hold an Arts and Craft Fair on December 4 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, and admission will be free then as well. Attendees at events such as this often ask vendors whose merchandise they especially enjoy for their Business Cards.
