Mesa is gearing up to enjoy Independence Day with two events this year.
Mesa Market Place Swap Meet will host a free Kids Event on Independence Day Weekend. Festivities will include balloon artists, face painters, and a live DJ. Everyone will be invited to win prizes, take challenges, and enter contests. Kids may climb on a Mesa Police Department Motorcycle for photos.
Photos taken at events like this often go to local Print shops to be used as a graphic design for family T-Shirts.
A coloring station will be set up so children and adults may write notes and color pictures to send to service people stationed overseas. A prize of 25 Mesa Market dollars will go to 18 lucky winners, which may be redeemed at any of the 1,600 market vendors.
The Kids Event will take place from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday, July 1 at 10550 E. Baseline Road.
After that, people will still have time to head over to the Flavor Fest BBQ Party where guests can enjoy food prepared on the latest grills (such as Big Green Egg, Traeger, Smokers, and Weber), family activities, demonstrations, and deals.
Flavor Fest BBQ Party will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on July 1 at Kabat’s Crismon Ace Hardware, 2758 S Crismon Road.
