Mesa rides at CycloMesa
Over 10,000 Mesa bike riders will be headed for the eighth annual CycloMesa Bicycle Festival early in April.
El Tour De Mesa, now in its 29th year, will be open to everyone regardless of abilities or age. The ride is a 100k that will take approximately 2000 riders around Red Mountain. Distances will be 100k, 50k and a choice of the five- or ten-mile fun run.
The beginning and end line will be a little north of 2nd Street on Center Street in downtown Mesa. The 100k starts at 6:30 am, the 50k at 8:30 am and the fun rides will begin at 11:00 am.
Teams of two to six riders will be entering the Mesa Adventure Challenge. They will solve clues and participate in innovative physical challenges. The Challenge will take place from 10:30 am until noon starting at Rendezvous Park at Mesa Convention Center, 263 North Center Street.
Lori Ann Mecham will be leading two free 90-minute Historic Mesa Bike Tours. The route will take riders to view local architectural icons while listening to stories about these historic neighborhoods. Guests that take pictures on rides like this usually enjoy taking them to local stationery printers to be made into thankyou notes and personalized stationery.
The Adventure Zone will feature a rock wall, a BMX Freestyle Show, and a zip line.
CycloMesa will be April 6 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Mesa Convention Center, 263 North Center Street.
