The Phoenix Symphony will present Music of Pink Floyd evening in mid-March.
The outdoor performance will include a laser light show, and will be appropriate for all ages.
A full rock band will be featured, with Randy Jackson as vocalist. The symphony and band will be melding the iconic sonic experimentation and philosophical lyrics of Pink Floyd with classical music.
The laser and light show will be accompanied by 17 Pink Floyd hits, such as ‘Learning to Fly’, ‘Money’, and ‘Comfortably Numb’. The symphony will also perform selections from The Wall, the hit album that came out in 1979 and is known for the likes of ‘Another Brick in the Wall’, ‘Goodbye Cruel World’, ‘Is There Anybody Out There?’, and ‘Empty Spaces’. It remains one of the most celebrated albums of all time today.
General admission tickets will be $43 and doors will open at 5:30 pm. Since this will be an outdoor concert, stadium cushions and small blankets will be admitted.
Other zones closer to the stage will have admission prices of $99, $125, and $149. Large businesses around the area may be giving these tickets as Corporate Gifts.
The Pink Floyd and Laser Light Show will be Saturday, March 10 at the Mesa Amphitheatre, 263 N. Center Street. The curtain will go up at 7:30 pm. This event will take place rain or shine.
