Downtown Mesa will be bustling and bright over the next few weeks as Merry Main Street gears up for the holidays.
The opening ceremony, tree lighting, and an AZ Ice show will get the festivities started. Jack Frost’s Food Truck Forest, Mesa Christmas Market, and Winter Wonderland Ice Rink will open to the public.
The Main Street Express will begin taking passengers on free train rides and Santa will be available for visits and pictures. Parents are invited to bring their cameras or phones in order to take pictures of their little ones with Santa. Those with cameras will still have time to take the pictures to nearby printing services to get duplicates made that can be included in this year’s Christmas cards.
A Momnation Market offering handmade items, entertainment, and kids’ activities will be held at the Mesa Christmas Tree on November 24th along with Small Business Saturday and December 22 in the morning.
The Mesa Arts Center will begin its seasonal performances with A Magical Cirque Christmas. This will be a circus with artists presenting dazzling illusions and traditional acts set to holiday music. The other two performances will be Dave Koz & Friends Christmas 2018, and All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914.
The Kickoff event is slated for November 23 from 4:00 until 10:00 pm.
The Mesa Arts Center presentations will be in the Ikeda Theater on November 25, December 15, and December 18.
