Mesa has indoor and outdoor activities planned for August

For those cyclists brave enough to fight the heat, the 2020 Embrace the Heat Bicycle Ride will take place again this year.

This will be the 6th year for this grueling ride that will begin in Mesa at 7227 E. Baseline Road STE 109 and go 76 miles to Mile Marker 251 at Highway 87, Payson.

The riders will receive a biscuit and gravy breakfast and the bikes will be transported back to Mesa in a moving van. The ride begins at 6:00 am on August 16. East Side Elves are hosting its annual charity for its East Valley Animal Shelter. Bowl Your Paw Off 3 will take place in late August. Tournaments 1 and 2 in prior years have been sold out.

This tournament will be a pin tap tournament where if nine pins are knocked down on the first ball, it will be considered a strike.

A team of five will be assigned to each of the 32 lanes. Groups of five may sign up as one team for $125 or individual bowlers can register for $25 and be assigned to a team. Each team will receive a free pizza.

Businesses that sponsor teams for events such as this often like to have the team wear colorful matching shirts sporting the business Logo Design.

Bowl Your Paws Off 3 will be held at Mesa East Bowl, 9260 E. Broadway Road on Saturday, August 22 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
