Salt River Tubing will be hosting its annual Madcap Mardi Gras Magic in a couple of weeks.
With the slogan ‘Here we go with zydeco!’, the event will bring the ambience of Sothern Louisiana to Salt River. Attendees will be greeted with showers of beads and doubloons tossed by wildly-attired employees. Zydeco Bounce Line dancers will be performing. Shuttle buses complete with Mardi Gras music will be decked out Cajun-style in a Parade of Floats. The parade will be taking the revelers to the river to go tubing.
Although costumes will be optional, those who come in masks, beads and Mardi Gras-type garb will be entered in the Best Mardi Gras Costume, for which contest and winners will be given free tubing passes.
Monster Energy and 104.7 KISSFM radio station will be there passing out free Promotional Products.
Not only will the zany employees be available, but many tubers are sure to want photos of the natural beauty along the river such as the blue herons, regal mountains, and possibly a shot of the wild horses as they cross midstream. These pictures will make future poster printing a viable possibility.
The Madcap Mardi Gras Magic event will be from 9:00 am until 6:30 pm on Saturday, August 19 in Tonto National Forest, at Salt River Tubing, 9200 North Bush Highway, Mesa.
