Downtown Mesa will soon be gearing up for this year’s Arizona Celebration of Freedom coming on July 4.
Downtown merchants are registering, and many are getting Business Cards and merchandise ready, as well as red, white, and blue banner printing for their booth spaces.
Mesa celebrants can go a little early and view the Naturalization Ceremony at 5:00 pm at the Main Hall in Building C. Stage America will feature Cold Shott and the Hurricane Horns and a Salute to America program at 9:15 pm.
We Make History at the amphitheater will include the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Arizona Band and Revolutionary War Reenactments. A Let Freedom Ring Laser Light Show the Mesa City Band will be in Building C’s Main Hall in Independence Hall, and Historic Flags of the U.S. will be giving half-hour performances in Building B in the Conference Theater.
Between the amphitheater and food court, a Patriotic Superhero Stunt Show will perform at 6:30, 7:20, and 8:10 pm. The All-American Car Show is always a big attraction too.
Additional activities will include a free carnival-style Yankee Doodle Kids’ Zone, Fallen Soldiers Memorial, American’s Arts and Culture Showcase, Patriotic Military Showcase, and free inflatable water slides in the Celebration Splash Zone.
There will be misting tents and trailers in Kool Zones, an All-American food court for drinks, and beer tents with soda and water.
Arizona Celebration of Freedom will be from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm with fireworks around 9:30 pm.
