After a three-year hiatus, the 36th Annual My Nana’s Best Tasting Salsa Challenge will be coming to Mesa in mid-April.
Over 100 freshly made salsas will be featured as local individuals, non-profit organizations, restaurants, and businesses vie for honors in three categories – Mild, Hot, and Anything Goes. Guests will get to taste the entries while celebrity and professional judges will decide winners in a blind contest and award a grand prize of $1,000 to the best all-round winner.
While children will get to enjoy a KidZone, everyone may listen to live music and watch the Margarita Mix-Off.
Single event tickets are $10, and $75 VIP ones include admission, special VIP entry to private VIP area, a catered meal, free chip tray, unlimited salsa samples, and chips. These VIP tickets also include gift Bags, live music, and admission to the Margarita mix-off auction.
For advertising purposes, local businesses often get their Logo Design put on paper products used in food challenges like this one.
Proceeds will go to Arizona Bleeding Disorders (also known as the Arizona Hemophilia Association) and its state-wide services and programs dedicated to enhancing life and advocating for cures for people who inherit bleeding disorders.
This year’s challenge will take place in Sloan Park at 2330 W Rio Salado Parkway on Saturday, April 15, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
