Mesa celebrates emerging artists

Downtown Mesa will come alive with music when Mesa Music Festival artists and music makers from all over the world converge on the scene. The free three-day event will feature over 300 artists performing in over 20 venues.

Thursday performances will be in three rooms at the Delta Hotel Phoenix Mesa, 200 N. Centennial Way starting at 1:00 pm. A Welcoming Party is scheduled from 9:00 am until 11:30 pm at the Galleria, 29 West Main Street.

Friday performances will be starting at 5:00 pm at the Mesa Main Stage at Main and MacDonald Streets, the Galleria, the Desert Eagle Brewing Company, Jarrod’s Coffee, Tea & Gallery, Main St. Bar & Grill, and Chupacabra Tap Room. Performances will also be at Mesa Mural Stage, Milano’s Warehouse, Oro Brewing Company, Artspace Lofts, Phoenix Motor Leathers, and Atomic Age Modern. Benedictine University will be added to the venues on Saturday.

Special guests will include Jose Mangin, Alex Gilbert, Stacy Nupoff, Joel Feinberg, Mark “Weissguy” Wess, and Geordie Gillespie. Other headliners will include Ed Masley, Mike Annuzze, Carmen Sclafani, and Jim Colletti.

The musical talent line up will include Phoenix-based Christopher Shayne and Viper Club, local act This is Modern, and Dawson Rutledge.
