City of Mesa’s Bicycle & Pedestrian Program will be hosting Mesa Bike to Work Day 2023 in just a couple of weeks.
The community is invited to use its bikes to get around for one day. The event’s purpose will be to improve health, save money, lower stress, improve air quality, and reduce traffic congestion.
The first 300 riders to RSVP online and show up at the Mesa Bike To Work Day Celebration at the Mesa City Center Plaza, 56 E. Main Street, will receive T-Shirts sporting the event’s Logo Design created by Mesa’s own artist Jayarr Steiner, and breakfast vouchers for either Roots n’ Bloom Juicery or Green Chile Love food trucks.
The celebration will feature music presented by a local DJ, photo opportunities at a photo booth station, complimentary tea and coffee at Downtown Rendezvous, and free safety gear courtesy of the City of Mesa’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Program. The Green Expo will return to help everyone ready for Earth Day. At 8:00 am, Bry’Anne Hill will be leading a free yoga session focusing on light stretches.
A group ride will start at 6:45 am, and participants are to meet at 3100 N Central Avenue at Lehi Sports Park. The 2.9-mile ride will begin at 7:15 am and progress down Center Street, ending around 7:35 am at the Mesa Bike to Work Day Celebration.
Mesa Bike to Work Day 2023 will take place Wednesday, April 19 from 10:00 am to noon.
