The Irish dance group collectively known as Riverdance will be coming to town soon.
Local step dance enthusiasts will get a chance to see the extravaganza, with its bright costumes and light show, and feel the vibrations of the pounding music that accompanies the dancers.
Riverdance is celebrating 20 years of performing this year, and the tour marks this anniversary. The show, as in years past, will feature a variety of Irish dances, many of which involve complex footwork performed at a very fast pace, singing of traditional tunes, and some skillful Irish fiddle playing. Both men and women dance, sometimes alone, sometimes with partners, and sometimes as part of a line or group. The emphasis for their shows is on energy and excitement.
Those who plan to attend may want to bring their best cameras for capturing the imagery for later use as subjects for future poster printing. There will also be Promotional Products available for purchase, along with CDs. Preshow dinners will also be available for some of the dates, with prices dependent on meal choices.
Several performances will be given over a one-week period, from Tuesday, January 12 through Sunday, January 17, at the Mesa Arts Center, 1 E Main St. Mesa. Ticket prices will vary depending on seating, from $47 to $77.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products
