Mesa Arts Center offers virtual events

The Mesa Arts Center will be featuring two online events in May.

Arts in Service Virtual Appreciation Event will showcase the amazing work of service-members and veterans in the Center’s Arts in Service program. This is the culmination of the program’s spring semester and will feature students’ artwork. Although the event will be free, registration is required to receive the Zoom link information. Arts in Service Virtual Appreciation Event will be Thursday, May 13 from noon until 1:00 pm.

The next evening, May 14, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, the Center will offer the first of its programs in its Hack the Mac! virtual series. This series, an introduction to the Center’s MABEL (Mobile Art-based Engagement Lab) and Art Studio programs, will be Happy Accidents, a paint-and-sip with local artist Keri Chartrand. She will focus on social, fun, and creativity as she direct’s viewers to create their own modern desert landscapes in the style of television painter Bob Ross.

Registration will be required and can be completed online or by phone. The program will cost $40. Once registration is completed, pickup options for all materials needed for the class will be available at the Center.

MAC Museum online store is offering original art Print Calendars and Corinne Geertsen jigsaw puzzles to patrons. Businesses that support the arts often give these as Corporate Gifts.

The Mesa Arts Center is located at 1 East Main Street and is open Tuesdays through Fridays from noon until 5:00 pm.
