Mesa area gets five nights of rodeo action

Mesa area’s celebrated Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek Rodeo will be taking place in mid-March.

The Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the event will feature full Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) performances. These will include bull riding, steer wrestling, tie down roping, team roping, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, and barrel racing.

On the Thursday, the show will be Root N’ Chutes Bull Riding. Local roughstock riders will get their chance to ride alongside the professional bull riders.

The opening Wednesday will be reserved for the newly added All Women’s Rodeo. Here, events will be barrel racing, team roping, and breakaway roping. Local youths will get their chance at barrel racing.

For a close-up view of behind the scenes, attendees may purchase Rodeo 101 Tour Tickets. One hour before each show guests may go in and around the arena learning the ins and outs of rodeo life. At the end of the tour, guests may don cowboy “duds" and have their pictures taken.

Families that have their pictures taken at events such as this often take the photos to local Print shops or Stationery printers to have them added to family Calendars or newsletters.

Adult general admission tickets are $20, $10, for kids 12 and under, and $10 for military and first responder. Closest to the action box seats are $30. Carnival ride tickets may be purchased online for 10 for $30.

Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek Rodeo will be Wednesday, March 15 through Sunday, March 19 at 20464 Queens Creek.
