Mesa’s annual Merry Main Street has announced its 2022 holiday season activities and begins with a Merry Main Street Lighting Kick-off, Santa’s Merry Makers Marketplace, and Mesa Temple Christmas Lights.
Merry Main Street Tree Lighting and Official Kick-off will begin at 5:00 pm Friday, November 25 with the Mesa City Band playing holiday music. The tree lighting program will begin at 5:45 pm with the tree lighting at 6:00 pm. Kids can visit Santa and the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink will open. Santa’s Merry Makers Marketplace will feature artisans and vendors selling items for holiday gift lists.
The event will take place at the Mesa Christmas Tree, 1 N Macdonald. Activities will continue the next evening, Saturday, November 26, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Mesa Temple will hold its Mesa Temple Christmas Lights for 37 nights beginning Tuesday, November 29. Over one million visitors are expected to view the light extravaganza which will take place between 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The LED light display has more than doubled in area as it now spreads from the temple’s north terrace level to Main Street, on the west to LeSueur and east to Hobson.
Hundreds of thousands of twinkling multi-colored lights will adorn trees, shrubs, and raised planters. Lighted biblical displays will have their own audio systems with narrations and music.
