Independence Day celebration back in Mesa

The Arizona Celebration of Freedom and Fireworks Show is returning to downtown Mesa on the 4th of July.

The music will begin at 6:00pm on the American Stage with British songwriter kav, and will continue at 7:00pm with the Mogollon Band. A special Salute to America Program will run from 9:15pm to 9:30pm, right before the fireworks.

Customized ramps and jumps by the All-American Food Court will be the location of the Patriotic Superhero Stunt Show featuring professional Arizona BMX stunt riders.

We Make History Amphitheater will have a Revolutionary War re-enacting team in period costumes providing entertainment and educational historical tributes.

Stationery printers often use pictures of reenactors in costume for their patriotic and federal holiday notecards and Letterheads.

Other activities will be at Independence Hall with a laser light show and the Hall of the US Flag. Building B, Palo Verde Rooms will house the Fallen Soldiers Memorial. Building B will also have America’s crafts and cultural displays on loan from the Mesa Art Center, Arizona Museum of Natural History, and the i.d.e.a. Museum.

Center Street will host a Celebration Splash Zone with inflatable slides and a fire truck. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the Beer Garden and All-American Food Court.

The Arizona Celebration of Freedom will take place from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Mesa Convention Center, 263 N. Center Street, Downtown Mesa.
