A local Mesa dance studio will be hosting the Sunset Jazz Ball early next month.
A swing band, Burque Jazz Bandits, will provide the music both on a selected Friday night and the following Saturday afternoon in downtown Mesa.
On the Friday evening, from 6:45pm to 7:30pm, attendees will be treated to a Lindy Hop dance lesson. Between band sets, there will be swing dance demonstrations, and guests can enjoy professional performances.
A full event package, which includes the Lindy Hop lesson, dancing, snacks, and performances, along with the two-hour Saturday afternoon social, will cost $40.
Monetary sponsorships are available at the bronze level for $50, silver for $100, gold at $150, and copper for $200. Spectator tickets are $20, and will give attendees access to viewing the performances, dancing, and the band.
Even though vintage jazz era formal or cocktail wear is encouraged for the event, it is not essential.
Businesses such as dance studios will often have an onsite photographer to take pictures during their events. These photos can be taken to local Print shops to form part of their advertising for future occasions.
The Sunset Jazz Ball, organized by the dance school Copper City Swing, has been scheduled for Friday, April 5 from 6:45pm to 11:15pm. The venue can be found at The Post 26, N Macdonald, Mesa.
There will also be live music from Burque Jazz Bandits on Saturday, April 6 in downtown Mesa at Jarrod's Coffee.Get a Free Quote for Print
