Concert series to make rocking start in Mesa

Mesa Arts Center is presenting its Spring Out to Lunch Concert Series beginning in January.

A total of 10 performances are scheduled from January through March. Everyone here in Mesa is invited to bring cushions, blankets, and lawn chairs to enjoy the hour-long free concerts.

Attendees may purchase hot and cold lunch-type food items from Life of the Party Catering, which will be on site for every performance. Desserts and beverages will also be available. Many may opt to bring their own picnic lunches.

Victor Trevino Jr. will be the first performer for the series with his Elvis Presley tribute act. His specialty is the Elvis early years, with the rockabilly 50s and 60s. He has been portraying the King of Rock since 2005 and won the Tupelo Elvis Festival in 2008. He also won the 2009 Branson Ultimate Elvis Competition plus many other competitions. In 2011, he was the Grand Prize Winner of the Potawatomi Bingo Casino’s ‘Tribute to the King’ contest. Lately, Trevino has been traveling with Legends in Concert, a collection of live tribute artists.

Elvis fans will no doubt want to take pictures of this lookalike for later poster printing.

All performances will take place at the Mesa Arts Center on the Shadow Walk in the Wells Fargo Garden from 12:30 to 1:30 pm every Thursday starting January 19th.
