Arizona to celebrate this weekend

Mesa, Arizona will be celebrating the Arizona Celebration of Freedom this Saturday, June 30, in the downtown core on Main Street from the Country Club to Robson Street. This event will take place from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

This event is all about the July 4th Freedom Festival and will feature Motorcycle Mania, which will see the closing of the Main Street from the Country Club to Robson Street to allow motorcycles to cruise, park, and take in the festivities. Main Street will also host the High Octane Car Show, showing off classic, custom, hotrod, muscle cars, and more.

On Saturday, guests are invited to Heritage Lane to see the featured historic buildings on display, patriotic storytelling, and costumed founders of America. There will be a family fun zone, kool zones, web zones, and food booths, as well as a beer garden. Cox Freedom Plaza will feature the Fallen Heroes Memorial, the World’s biggest LEGO American Flag, and much more to keep everybody smiling.

As a special attraction, Friday John Schneider will be in attendance, with proceeds to benefit “Go Vets” foundation. Mesa Arts Center “Childsplay” will be hosting “Rock of Presidents” from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The “Go Vets” Tie One On Family Fun Run will take also place and the fireworks display at dusk is also not to be missed.
