Families in Chandler will soon have the chance to participate in the yearly Ostrich Festival.
This year marks the 25th anniversary for the festival, which promises a lot of excitement for the residents of and visitors to Chandler. The main attractions at the festival include ostrich races, thrill rides, and a family game show version of "Survivor." Other attractions at the festival include the Fearless Flores Thrill Show, Marvelous Mutts, and the Rhinestone Ropers.
The festival will feature a number of kid-friendly activities as well. A petting zoo will be set up, featuring baby goats, horses, and pigs. A family-focused magic show will combine magic tricks and comedy.
Music will take center stage at the festival this year. The Guess Who, a classic rock band will perform, as will Journey Unauthorized and Future Loves Past. Disney Channel star Roshon Fegan will make an appearance at the festival on Saturday and Sunday. Fegan will be greeting fans, signing autographs, and answering questions.
The annual Ostrich Festival is presented each year by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce. This year's fair will last from March 8 through March 10 and will take place at Chandler Tumbleweed Park, 745 East Germann Road. The festival organizers might have made use of Chandler Stationery printers to produce the admission tickets, which range in price from $7 for those under age 12 to $10 for people over age 13. Wristbands for the rides are available for $25. The festival is open each day from 10am. It ends at midnight on Friday and Saturday and at 11pm on Sunday.
