Buddy Guy, the award-winning blues artist who continues to have an enduring impact on pop culture, is coming to Chandler’s Wild Horse Pass for a concert this September in a tour of shows celebrating his 90th birthday.
Guy was born in rural Louisiana in 1936 before moving to Chicago as a young man to help establish innovations in the use of electric guitar through his independent albums and collaborations with Chess Records.
The 10-time Grammy Award-winner, the most recent of which was a Lifetime Achievement Award, has not only been named one of the best guitarists of all time by Rolling Stone magazine, but he also made an appearance in one of last year’s most acclaimed films.
“Sinners,” starring Michael B. Jordan in his Academy Award-winning dual role, also featured a brief cameo by Guy, playing an older version of one of the central characters in a flash-forward from the 1930s-set tale.
With prices starting at less than $60 each, there are also variable ticket options based on section and row.
People are advised to only buy tickets through the official Gila River Resorts and Casinos Wild Horse Pass Box Office or through Ticketmaster.
Concerts like this may choose to use Print shops for signing events, vendor labels and marquees.
Buddy Guy 90 is happening on September 12 at 8 pm at the Gila River Resorts and Casinos - Wild Horse Pass at 5040 Wild Horse Pass Blvd in Chandler.
