Chandler is once again hosting its annual Ostrich Festival this March at a brand new venue, the Rawhide Event Center.
The festival has been going strong since 1988, leaning hard into the quirky history of Chandler and its ostrich ranching roots.
Though ostriches will be a-plenty at the festival, there’s also so much more to explore, including family-friendly entertainment from across the region, a carnival, food and local vendors.
The culture, nostalgia and celebration of ostriches is a main focus of the festival, since Chandler’s early history involves people raising the large birds.
The price of admission varies, but it includes entry to the festival and concerts. There’s also a VIP admission tier, which includes tent access, an exclusive concert viewing area, one meal and three drinks. Tickets are also non-refundable.
Rides are available at the festival, though they are sold separately from admission. Individual ride tickets can be purchased, as well as fast passes and unlimited ride wristbands.
In terms of what to expect with ostrich encounters, they roam freely within a designated area of the festival, but there are no ostrich races held.
Festivals like this may choose to use brochure printing to create pamphlets for food vendors and rides.
The Chandler Chamber Ostrich Festival is happening March 13-15 and March 20-22 at the Rawhide Western Town and Event Center at 5700 W North Loop Rd in Chandler.
