Cheech and Chong will be at Ovations Live! for one performance. Richard “Cheech” Marin, a native of East Los Angeles, and Tommy Chong, a Canadian, got together in Vancouver, British Columbia, late in the 1960s.
They got their start doing stand-up, and released a number of successful comedy albums which included some of their best routines, such as “Earache My Eye” and “Sister Mary Elephant.” They were able to move to the big screen, and released their first film, “Up in Smoke,” in 1978. Made with a low budget, the film grossed more than $44m, and was deemed successful enough to deserve a sequel. In fact, two more films were made, “Cheech and Chong's Next Movie,” and “Nice Dreams.”
The duo broke up in 1985, and both enjoyed successful solo careers. However, they reunited in 2008, and have seemingly recharged and are once again entertaining audiences.
A review says:
“They were amazing. It was a really memorable show. They are still hysterical and real.”
Cheech and Chong will be at Ovations Live! at Wild Horse Pass on November 27, at 8:00 pm. This event has been rescheduled from its original date of September 19. Poster printing is frequently used to promote events like this.
