Dutch Bros., the popular coffee drink company, has opened its first Chandler location and its 26th in Arizona, according to an article on AZCentral.com.
The new shop is close to Chandler Fashion Center, and features two drive-thru lanes to provide quicker, less-congested service.
Dutch Bros. Phoenix's general manager, Josh Hayes, says the company has been considering Chandler for some time, noting that he frequently patronizes restaurants in the city. He said that when he first moved to Arizona, he tried the San Tan Brewery in Chandler, as well as The Ostrich, and apparently likes the community. He also said the company is considering opening other Chandler stores in the future. At present, there are six other Dutch Bros. shops in the area – three in Tempe and three in Gilbert.
The store is on Chandler Boulevard, and celebrated its opening day by donating all the proceeds from the day's sales to the K-9 unit of the Chandler Police Department. According to Hayes, the donation was in the amount of $9,000, and he thanked the residents of Chandler for visiting the store, and supporting their police department.
He went on to say that the company is creating special drinks to go along with the popular television program ‘Shark Week’ and suggested a Kicker Cold Brew, or one of the special energy drinks to stay cool.
