Chandler to welcome seafood celebration

Cajun food and culture, which originated with the Acadians who arrived in Louisiana after the expulsion, includes its own style of cuisine, and this will be on full display during a seafood feast in Chandler.

The annual Angry Crab Shack Cajun Fest will give community members a chance to enjoy an afternoon of food and fun with their friends and family. Everything from frog legs to beignets will be on the menu, and admission to the celebration starts at $25.

While the guests at the festival sample all the seafood and other fare, they will be treated to a taste of a Mardi Gras experience right in their own backyard. There will be musicians, jugglers and other performers.

The celebration will be taking place in Sr. A J Chandler Park. Everyone can meet some alligators face to face so they can learn more about them, and there will be an area of rides and inflatables just for the kids.

Print shops will be able to help take some of the headache out of planning a community festival event like this. They can provide everything from banner printing to vendor contracts, as well as a full line of branded products.

The Angry Crab Southwest Cajun Fest will kick off at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 4. Tickets are available on the event’s website.
