Before they sit down to their Thanksgiving turkey dinner, residents of Chandler will have a chance to enjoy a relaxing swim at a venue that’s right in their own backyard.
A special swim session will be on offer at the Hamilton Aquatic Center, and this early morning dip will be in a heated pool. There will be no admission fee charged, and the activity will run for two hours.
Those at the pool will be invited to do some lap swimming, and the lanes will be marked. The organizers explained that, as not everyone in the community is fortunate enough to have food on their table, a canned food drive is in the works, and everyone who plans on coming out is asked to consider making as generous a donation of non-perishable foodstuffs as they can.
