Chandler is set to be treated to some high-flying fun with six legs, where the stars of the show will be area insects.
The Chandler Nature Center gives members of the public an opportunity to interact with nature, and to help them develop deeper appreciation for both butterflies and other fliers, it has arranged a special morning. It will be held in Veterans Oasis Park, and the festivities are open to one and all.
The activity will give the public an introduction to the joys that can go hand in hand with environmental stewardship. They will be able to join in one of the guided butterfly walks, as well as try out the hands-on crafts and games on offer. The walkers will be led over a path that follows easy terrain and last for about 20 minutes.
Along with the rest of the fun, the attendees will receive an assortment of Promotional Products and other giveaways to thank them for coming out and also remind them that insects need care too. They can ask questions and learn how to make their own yard or other area friendly to butterflies and other pollinators.
The Dragonfly and Butterfly bash will celebrate the city’s six-legged residents on Saturday, September 16. More information has been posted to its online listing for anyone who is interested.
