Chandler is reaching out to vehicle enthusiasts this month, and while they view the cars, trucks, and other entries on display, they will be doing a good turn for local veterans.
The WeSERV Salute to Veterans Trunk or Treat Car Show will be taking over the parking area at Bass Pro Shop located at 1133 N. Dobson Road in Mesa. While the vehicles may be the main draw for many, the itinerary promises lots more to see and do.
In keeping with the season, the show will have a Halloween theme. There will be a DJ providing the tunes, and food trucks will be rolling in as well. Several local small businesses have been invited to take part, and the kids can come in costume and do some trick or treating. The raffle draws that have been planned will add even more excitement to the day.
Those who are interested in registering their vehicle for the activity will receive a dash plaque as well as a T-shirt with a unique graphic design. The final date to sign up is Friday, October 11. Additional shirts are $15 in advance and $20 on the day the day of the event.
This motoring-themed opportunity to show Chandler’s vets that their community stands behind them will be taking place on Saturday, October 26. It will kick off at 8:00 am.
