An Australian competition dedicated to a dance from the Dominican Republic is taking place in Sydney later this year.
Dance devotees from St. Leonards and other suburbs of Sydney can appreciate the Australian Bachata Championship 2024 this spring. Early November will see the New South Wales capital’s Australian Hall become a hotbed of competition, as rival Bachata dancers from all over the country and overseas take to the floor to prove they are the Australian Bachata Champion for the year.
A form of social dance originating in the Dominican Republic, Bachata is now danced throughout the world. The upcoming competition is three days long and will boast a line-up of the best and newest dancers in the genre, battling to claim national titles.
Those running championships and other competitions sometimes use flyer printing service to encourage members of the public to attend and lend their support.
Held annually, the event aims to bring audiences two nights of high-quality dancing alongside special workshops led by both interstate and local artists. It also supplies five hours of social dancing, and this year’s edition will feature Mario Baro live in concert.
The Australian Bachata Championship will be held at the Australian Hall from Friday, November 1 to Sunday, November 3. The venue can be found located at150 Elizabeth Street in Sydney.
