Hospitality workshop dates announced in St. Leonards area

Hospitality businesses in St. Leonards and surrounds are being encouraged to take part in a workshop heading to the area in August.

The three-part workshop series, run in partnership with The Table Food Consultants, aims to help hospitality operators minimise their waste and maximise their profits.

Led by a chef, this session will include practical activities that provide attendees with know-how. Sustainability in hospitality will be the focus of this workshop.

Attendees will explore how to identify sustainability options, understand the relationship between sustainability and profits, learn practical steps they can take to be more environmentally friendly at work, and set meaningful and realistic goals.

All attendees will be provided with a digital resource pack including templates for waste audits, a list of contacts for local producers, a conversation guide and checklist for supplier interactions, a menu engineering worksheet, a Quick Swaps poster and a sheet to track goals.

Promotional products are a simple and effective way for organisers at events like this to make an impact.

A Matter of Waste: Sustainability in Hospitality will be held on Monday, August 18 at The Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability, 2 Balls Head Drive, Waverton. The workshop will begin at 10:00 AM and conclude at 1:00 PM. Attendance is free, but spaces are limited. Interested parties can register on the North Sydney Council website.
