St. Leonards hospital to host charity tea

A charitable organisation that provides support to patients with brain cancer is holding a morning meeting at a private hospital in St. Leonards.

St. Leonards will welcome the event called “Morning Tea Conversations: Support Throughout The Brain Cancer Journey” this autumn. Organised by The Brain Cancer Group and in partnership with Brain Tumour Alliance Australia, the event is focused on information and support for patients.

Organisations and institutions offering healthcare advice and services sometimes trust brochure printing services to set easy-to-read literature that explains the help available.

The meeting aims to offer an opportunity for an open and supportive discussion. Headed up by Senior Clinical Psychologist, Jessica Medd, and Senior Group Facilitator, Amanda Reilly, it also features support from members of the Nurse Practitioner team.

The event begins with a welcome and introduction session followed by a discussion round. Afterwards, there will be closing remarks and reference to support materials available. Morning tea will conclude the event.

The Brain Cancer Group is a non-profit charitable organisation based in Sydney. It provides support for patients and their families and focuses on improving survival through education, research and multidisciplinary care coordination.

The Morning Tea will take place at North Shore Private Hospital’s Education Centre on Friday, May 8. The meeting will start at 10 am and run until 11.30 pm, and the hospital is located on Westbourne Street in St. Leonards.
