Repair workshop details confirmed in St Leonards area

Locals in St Leonards are preparing for an upcoming repair workshop arriving in the area in September.

The Fix-It Hub is organised by North Sydney Council and delivered to the public by The Sydney Library of Things. It offers a central destination for locals seeking repairs for an item.

The workshop promotes the preservation and promotion of sustainable living. It aims to reduce waste and empower community members through repair and renewal.

Participants are requested to book their repair sessions ahead of time. This ensures the organisers can manage their resources, while also making sure that they can effectively meet specific repair needs.

Each booking allows participants a 20-minute session, during which time they’re encouraged to stay around. They can watch their item be repaired and even assist with the job and learn something new.

Organisers of community workshops like this can utilise poster printing to advertise their event, capture interest and gain attendees.

The Fix-It Hub will be held on Saturday, 13 September. The venue will be The Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability, 2 Balls Head Drive, Waverton. The workshop starts at 10:30 AM and finishes at 1:00 PM. All repairs are free of charge, but attendees are asked to bring along any specialist parts or to arrange a follow-up session after parts can be purchased. Registration can be completed through the Council’s website.
