The Woodinville High School Orchestra and Choir have been invited to appear at Carnegie Hall next year, as part of the World Strides' Carnegie Hall Instrumental Festival, according to an article in the Woodinville Weekly.
The Woodinville students were chosen when the high school sent in a recording that had been made of their performance at the Western Washington University Orchestra Festival. The Woodinville High School Chamber Orchestra was awarded second place in Washington State, and received notification almost immediately that they would be performing at Carnegie Hall. Sponsors of trips like this could use Logo Design to create identifying items for the participants.
Loren Tanksley, Woodinville High School's Director of Instrumental Music, said the students' festival season was highly successful, thanks to the hard work they put in. They performed “challenging music at an exceptionally high level,” which led to their high ranking.
The Festival at Carnegie Hall brings together elite musical groups from across the country. They have the chance to appear on the renowned Carnegie Hall Ronald Perelman Stage, and will meet and work with world famous musicians and conductors.
The Woodinville students will work with Dr. Jeffery Redding, who is the Director of Choral Activities at Winter Garden's West Orange High School. While in Verona, Italy, for the famous International Music Festival, Dr. Redding was named top choral director.
