A tribute band to one of the true legends of the music business is returning to Woodinville.
DEAL is based in Seattle, and the members are an electric quartet whose high energy performances are faithful to the band they honor, the Grateful Dead. They take their name from the song on the album “Garcia,” which dropped in 1972, the first solo effort by Jerry Garcia. Although it was his solo debut, many of the tracks went into regular rotation with the Dead.
The DEAL musicians retain their reverent approach to and appreciation for the Grateful Dead and their material but include their own approach to sonic experimentation and improvisation. DEAL got together in 2017 and has steadily increased its presence in the music scene in the Pacific Northwest. They increase the number of concerts they play each year, enlarging their fanbase and introducing new fans to the classic band. They currently play festivals, clubs, corporate parties, private events, and more.
DEAL benefits from the enthusiastic Grateful Dead fans known as Deadheads, who know the music and enjoy hearing DEAL’s version of their favorites. The Grateful Dead, who were founded in Palo Alto in 1963, are one of the highest-grossing touring bands of all time.
DEAL will be at Two Vintners Winery on March 6. The venue is located at 18570 142nd Ave Northeast in Woodinville. Performances like this benefit when they are publicized, and organizers can provide the advertisements necessary by using poster printing.
